Sadbh slept right through the night until 5:45am when it was time for breakfast.
Her night nurse Larissa, was able to keep an eye on her all night, and reassured us that her lower than normal heart rate was normal for a baby Sadbh’s age.
In fact, she submitted an order request for Sadbh’s pediatrician to approve the alarm settings on her oximeter to be lowered to accommodate this change.
After breakfast, she had a little throw up, due to a coughing fit, however she was right as rain in no time.
Peggy came over again to hang out and also to assist my father with trach care.
It was a beautiful day in Seattle today, so my father bundled Sadbh up in a nice warm outfit, and they went for a long walk through the neighborhood.
Sadbh had a couple of visitors this evening, Audrey and Shanti, and she was overjoyed as soon as they entered the room.
Audrey, who was Sadbh’s nurse during the summer, was back in town visiting family, and wanted to check in to see how Sadbh was doing.
Shanti, who on a couple of occasions has babysat Sadbh, came along for the visit.
Sadbh was very excited and it seems that she remembered Audrey, even though she had not seen her since September.
Honestly, it was a treat for us all to get to catch up with Audrey and Shanti.
We were so lucky to have met Audrey and have her care for Sadbh, she is sorely missed. But we are also fortunate that she introduced us to Shanti, as we now have a great baby-sitter who’s also a registered nurse.
It’s clear that they too adore Sadbh.
All in all, Sadbh had a great day and seems to be well and truly over the cold she had this past weekend.
Take care,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
