Sadbh probably had her best night
sleep ever. She did not budge until she finally woke up at 6:15. Her latest
trend over the past few days is to nurse and within ten minutes she would fall
back to sleep for a couple of hours. Not today.
She was ready for the day to start
and had a great time playing in her cot with all her favorite dolls and stuffed
animals. She even got to play with the pink headband that Ali-Baba got for her.
The funny thing is that this headband only seems to come out when I’m not in
the house. I wonder why…
After exhausting all her options
Katie brought Sadbh out to the kitchen for breakfast.
Sadbh was still quite tired and
cranky, though so Katie and Nini decided to bring her back to bed right away. Nini worked hard to get Sadbh to sleep
while Katie got ready for work.
Her efforts finally paid off and Sadbh slept on for another 2 ½ hours –
until 10:30am!
Nadia was working today and since the
weather was somewhat decent, Sadbh, Nini and Nadia went for a nice long stroll
down to Madison and back. Sadbh loved all the flowers that lined the streets.
Nini had planned to keep within a
certain distance of the house incase Sadbh showed signs of getting tired.
Thankfully her plan paid off and as soon as they got back to the house it was
time for trach care.
Everything went well and Sadbh had a
nice long nap afterwards.
She was full of beans when I arrived
home from work and was ready to play. We had a great time playing hide and seek
and afterwards when we were tired, we went for a stroll out into the garden and
around the house. She loves being outside and gets so excited when she sees our
next-door neighbor Charlie’s dog.
Sadbh had a fun packed evening and
when it came time for bed, she was very playful and dragged it out for ages.
Eventually she fell into a nice sleep and hopefully she will stay that way
until at least 6am since she is upstairs with us for the night.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
