Sadbh’s night started off great, but
by midnight she was tossing and turning in discomfort. Her teeth were bothering
her and Katie was called down to provide some comfort. After giving her some
Tylenol, Sadbh fell back to sleep for the rest of the night and did not wake
until 6:30.
She was very hungry when she woke up
and after breakfast she was very eager to start the day.
Destiny was working again and both
she and Nini had their work cut out for them chasing after Sadbh.
Sadbh was in a very energetic mood
and was leading them around the house and up and down the stairs.
It was very exhausting, so when it
came time for Sadbh’s nap, she was very tired.
Even though she was very tired, Nini
had to work very hard to get Sadbh to sleep for trach care.
After removing Sadbh’s trach ties,
Nini noticed that her neck was very tender and had a few big sores on one side.
She applied a bandage to help protect and heal the sores, but this obviously
irritated Sadbh causing her to get very restless.
It was stressful finishing off trach
care as Sadbh woke up towards the end. Nini had to cuddle her back to sleep and
Sadbh slept for another 30 minutes.
Later in the evening, Sadbh got to
Skype with her cousin Josh in New Zealand and she was very impressed with all
his teeth. Josh is a few months older than Sadbh and almost has all his teeth.
She only has two with another two on their way. She definitely has some
catching up to do.
Sadbh was in for a big treat today as
her cousins from Singapore arrived in town for their holidays. She was caught
completely off guard and was over the moon with all these new friends to play
with.
Sadbh have Skyped with her cousins
many times throughout the last year, and she met them last August when they
were visiting.
Her evening was so much fun that she
did not want to go to bed. Thankfully she was worn out with all the excitement
and dropped off to sleep after a short while.
I’m sure she will be dreaming of her
cousins tonight and there is no doubt that she is looking forward to playing
with them all again tomorrow.
