Sadbh’s oximeter started to go off around
2am and it ended up waking her up. Thankfully it was a false alarm, however,
Sadbh was wide-awake for 45 minutes or so.
She was looking for Katie, so Larissa
used baby sign to explain that mummy and daddy were sleeping and that Sadbh
should also be sleeping. With that, Sadbh relaxed and went back to sleep. It
was amazing.
She had a good night overall and
finally woke up at 6:15 and after a light snack and a cuddle, she was back to sleep
within fifteen minutes.
By 7:45, Sadbh was awake and ready
for breakfast.
She was in a great mood and full of
energy.
After breakfast, Nini and Destiny
brought Sadbh down to the basement to play with some of her toys down there,
and Sadbh had a blast. She got to play with Elmo for a while, however I think
his singing got a little bit repetitive for her. She could not stop kissing
Elmo, but I’m not sure if that was her way of trying to keep him quiet.
After a fun packed morning, Sadbh
started to get sleepy, so it was time for trach care.
Her neck is still quite sore, but she
slept right through trach care and continued to sleep for another hour and a
half afterwards.
The weather improved later in the
day, so Nini, Destiny and Sadbh headed out for walk. Sadbh could not stop
leaning out of her stroller as she was so interested in everything that she
seen. It was quite the spectacle.
Later in the evening we headed out to
meet up with Katie’s family for dinner. Sadbh was over the moon to get to spend
time with her cousins.
Belle-Rose made Sadbh a crown out of
play-doh, and later on Liberty made her a pair of earrings and a ring for her
finger.
Sadbh loved chasing her cousins
around the restaurant and by the time we were heading for home, she was exhausted.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh
