Sadbh slept well for the most part
through the night, but did join us a couple of times for a snuggle.
She was wide-awake at 7am, but she
was happy to lie there and cuddle up each of us.
At one point, she had a nice deep cuddle
with Katie and when she was done she grabbed my hand and placed her face into
it for a few minutes. Afterwards, she took my hand in hers, grabbed Katie’s
hand in her other hand, and laid there holding both of our hands. It was such
an amazing moment of love and tenderness. It was a fantastic way to start the
day.
Sadbh had a great morning and enjoyed
a large breakfast. We think she is going through a growth spurt at the moment
since she is constantly eating non-stop. We also noticed a fourth tooth starting
to make its way down, so we hope this does not cause her distress.
Trach care was a lot easier today
than it was yesterday and Sadbh slept right through the whole thing. She even
slept for another hour or so afterwards.
It was just after 2pm when she got
up, so it was time for food and we were out the door to take care of a few
things.
Along the way we stopped by and
picked up Suzie and Clodagh, but not before we got a chance to hang out with
Derek and Cormac first. Sadbh was happy to see her little friend and was making
baby signs like crazy.
We headed out to the nursery where
Suzie works to drop off a trailer and since the sun was finally out, we all got
to take a walk through the farm.
Sadbh was in her element and was
desperate to catch up with Clodagh. She could not stop smiling. She even got to
sit up on a big dump truck that was parked on the farm.
Sadbh had a nice relaxing day and was
very tired when it came time for bed. Larissa is back on shift tonight, so we
are sure that Sadbh will get a good night sleep.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
