Sadbh had a restless night and kept both Katie and myself up most of the night.
We had an appointment first thing this morning, so it was a mad dash to get Sadbh up and ready for the day.
She was a superstar and was very well behaved throughout the entire day.
Late in the morning, we headed home and since Sadbh had not napped all morning, she was ready for trach care shortly after we arrived home.
She was in a deep sleep for over two and a half hours, and once she woke up, she was starving.
Since Sadbh requires a lot of equipment when we are out and about and since Katie’s Mini is not very practical, we finally bit the bullet and traded Katie’s Mini in on an SUV today.
Sadbh had not been in the Mini before, and since we were trading it in, she got to go for a spin in it to the dealership.
Before we headed off, I got a chance to take a few photos of Sadbh behind the wheel, and she was in her element. She had the windows and the sunroof open, and was grinning from ear to ear.
Later, when Katie joined her for a few photos, they both reminded me of Thelma and Louise.
Sadbh had a great time checking out all the new cars at the dealership and even met a 4 month old that she took a shine to. Every time she looked at this little guy, she would stand by herself and make the sign for baby.
We were at the dealership for almost an hour and a half and Sadbh was happy throughout.
Our friends, Martin and Aoife invited us over for a gathering on their roof top deck, and Sadbh got a chance to meet up with her friends Conor and Dylan.
It was gorgeous day, and the view from the top of this building downtown was amazing.
Sadbh is quite the socialite and met a bunch of new friends.
Martin has a great taste in music, and Sadbh, Conor and Dylan got to show off their dance moves. It was a lot of fun for everyone.
We arrived home just around Sadbh’s bedtime, and it was perfect timing since she got to say goodbye to Chris as he has an early flight in the morning. Even though Chris will be leaving very early, I have a feeling that Sadbh will be awake before he leaves.
Sadbh had a fantastic day, and had no problem falling asleep.
I’m hoping that she has a better night sleep tonight, so we can all get some decent rest.
All the best and happy Easter!
