Sadbh’s update – January 24th 2013

Sadbh slept great and she was so relaxed she even set her heart rate alarm off a couple of times.
She finally woke at 7 and was very excited to see Nana and Granddad.

Granddad was first to get up and Sadbh had a great time playing with him.
She could not wait for Nana to wake up and was thrilled when she finally did. Since Nana retired she has gotten very fond of sleeping in.

Later in the morning since the weather was nice, Sadbh, Nana and Granddad all headed out for a nice long walk through the neighborhood. They came across a couple of dogs that Sadbh really likes. One of the dogs likes to play fetch so he usually nudges his ball out through the fence in the hope that it will get thrown back in so he can fetch it. This kept Sadbh entertained for ages and she really enjoyed all the excitement.

On the way home they came across a flock of redbreasts forging for food. Sadbh watched in awe and was fascinated with all the activity.

She had a great evening and was so full of energy.
When it came time for bed we gave her a bath and she insisted on filling up her tub with her toy fish, a mechanical frog and her bath books. There was hardly any room for her but it all worked out and she had fun.

It did not take long to get her to sleep and as soon as she was out Katie and I managed trach care. Katie was extremely quick since we were both tired and got it done in 7 minutes.
Sadbh slept right through and was in a deep sleep when we placed her in the cot afterwards.

All the best,

Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
