Sadbh was in a nice deep
sleep when Katie finally got to bed. Just as Katie dozed off she awoke to the
sound of Mini Darth Vader standing right next to her looking to climb into bed.
Surprisingly, Sadbh slept
well through the rest of the night and woke up a very happy little girl.
Sadbh loves her new recliner
that she received from Granddad and Nana for Christmas. Over the past few days
she had taken to relaxing with a few books or some of her stuffed animals.
Today Katie had the great
idea of turning the chair around so Sadbh could look out the window. Sadbh
agreed that this was a great idea and spent a while enjoying the outside world
as it went by.
Ali-Baba stopped by to help
Katie with trach care and Sadbh was very happy to see her.
Sadbh learned how to jump
today so she spent a great deal of time showing Katie and Ali-Baba how good she
was doing.
Trach care went well and
Sadbh slept for nearly two hours.
Sadbh was in a great mood
when I arrived home and could not wait to get outside. It was a very cold day
and she did not mind it one bit. As long as she was bundled up she could have
stayed out all evening.
Later on as we were getting
dinner ready Sadbh came running into the kitchen complaining that she bumped
her head on the dining table. After kissing her better, we watched as she ran
back into the dining room and pretended to bump her head and again she came
running in looking for us to kiss her bump better. The third time we caught it
on video, as it was so funny the first few times.
Just as she was getting
ready for bed she received a call from Granddad in New Zealand. Sadbh was
delighted to hear his voice over the phone.
She was quite tired by
bedtime and thankfully Julie is working tonight so we are sure she will get a
decent night sleep.
