It was a much better night
for Sadbh but Julie had to suction a few times throughout.
She woke up just as Julie
was finishing her shift and was very eager to get as many cuddles in before
Katie left for work.
Both Katie and Sadbh had a
really fun morning but Sadbh had a tough time when Katie finally left for work.
Nurse Caity worked today and
after Sadbh settled down they both headed off for a nice long walk through the
neighborhood. Sadbh was happy to be out and about.
Later in the day Sadbh and
Caity went out for another walk and this time they headed up to Capitol Hill.
Caity brought Sadbh to Café Presse for lunch and Sadbh had a lot of fun.
In the past Sadbh would pull
at her trach to push my buttons. Over the past few days she has started doing
this again and tonight she pulled her nose off four times. She certainly has
figured out the best way to get me going.
Later in the evening after
both Katie and I got home we headed up to visit our friend Teri in hospital. We
explained to Sadbh what was wrong with Teri and for the rest of the evening
Sadbh had a pained expression on her face and kept saying “Teri owie”.
We managed trach care after
Sadbh went to sleep tonight and unfortunately she woke up shortly before we had
her trach ties secure. She was very fussy but we were still able to secure her
ties and get her back to sleep eventually.
It was a very long day for
her and hopefully she will get a good night sleep.
