Sadbh woke up just as Jirapa was finishing up and as
soon as she was freed from her equipment she was up the stairs like a shot.
We had a very good day hanging out in the house and
even Ali-Baba and Kirk came by for a visit.
Sadbh got to snuggle with Ali-Baba as she read some
books and later she entertained everyone in the basement with her role playing.
At one point she stuffed one of her smallest dolls into her dress and announced
to everyone that she had a baby in her belly and that she needed to go to the
hospital. She then cracked everyone up by telling them that the baby was “head
down”.
After lunch we headed out into the garden to play and
Sadbh got to go for a ride in her red wagon as well as her scooter.
She loved being outside with Granddad and despite the
cold and damp weather she had a fantastic time.
Granddad and I managed trach care in the early
evening and Sadbh was extremely cooperative.
Katie wasn’t feeling well throughout the day so after
dinner she headed up to bed. Usually Sadbh will only go to bed for Katie but
tonight she was great and went to bed without any issues. She was fast asleep
within five minutes and even wore her trach cap.
She did have some strider when she slept on her back
so the nurse kept a close eye on her and made sure she slept on her side to
reduce the strider.
