Sadbh woke up at seven and hung out with Harjinder
until I came down not long after.
She was in a good mood and wanted to start playing
with her toys straight away.
Instead we headed up stairs and jumped into bed with
Mommy and Cillian for a half hour before finally getting up for breakfast.
Later in the morning Ali-Baba came by and Sadbh was
so excited to see her. They had a lot of fun reading books and playing.
When it came time for trach care Ali-Baba helped
Katie get it done.
As the day progressed, Sadbh was starting to act up.
Even though she was being affectionate towards Cillian she was being very
aggressive and would not listen to Katie or I when we tried to explain that she
needed to be more gentle. It was obvious that it was a combination of being
extremely tired and some jealousy towards her brother. It is always difficult
and very stressful when Sadbh get’s upset as she ends up having difficulty
breathing and we need to move quickly to sanitize and then remove her trach cap
to open up her airway.
Later in the evening we headed over to Suzie’s house
so Sadbh could hang out with Clodagh and Cormac. She was so excited to see her
two friends and she immediately headed down to Clodagh’s room to try on some
princess costumes.
The three kids had a wonderful time and when it came
time to go home Sadbh was not happy. She was exhausted and very reluctant to
leave. Thankfully she was fast asleep by the time we got home so getting her
into bed was a piece of cake.
