Sadbh finally went to bed
almost two hours after her bedtime and slept like a log all night. She slept
right through until 6am, had a quick snack and then fell back asleep until 8am.
Then it was time for breakfast.
She had a very busy morning as
she had an appointment with her homeopathic doctor.
She did great and got to show
Krista how well she was doing while wearing the Passy Muir Valve.
During her last visit, Krista
had prescribed Opium as a remedy, which helps with paralysis, but also enhances
confidence and helps overcome fear.
Prior to that visit, Sadbh
would struggle with the PMV after a few minutes and since then she is doing
much better.
Who knows if it is really
helping or not, but we feel it certainly doesn’t hurt to try all our options,
especially homeopathy.
Sadbh got to explore Krista’s
garden again and immediately found the pond with the gold fish. She had so much
fun and did not want to leave.
On the way home, Katie picked
up Nini’s friend Alex from the train station and they all headed back to the
house, just in time for trach care.
Trach care started off well,
but as Katie removed a dressing that was covering a sore on her neck, Sadbh
woke up and got very fussy. Both Katie and Nini had a very tough job on their
hands to keep Sadbh still and thankfully they were able to finish off trach
care without any further incident.
Sadbh had no desire to go back
to sleep, so after a snack it was time to head out for a walk.
Sadbh took a shine to Alex
straight away and could not stop holding her hand.
She had a fantastic time at the
park and could not stop blowing kisses to all the other kids there. She was
fascinated by the kids bicycles and could not stop touching them.
She dropped off to sleep as
soon as she got back into the stroller for the walk home and did not wake for
almost an hour.
Later in the evening our friend
Neil came by so we headed out to Flying Squirrel Pizza for dinner. The waitress
remembered Sadbh and immediately made a fuss over her. Sadbh loves her pizza.
Since Sadbh only had a couple
of short naps today, she was extremely energetic and had no desire to sit in
her high chair. She kept walking over to the tables around us waving and saying
hi to the other customers.
She was a star and it seemed
that everyone loved her.
By the time she was in her car
seat, she fell into a deep sleep.
Its amazing how friendly Sadbh
is and I’m glad that there is always someone with her so she does not end up
making friends with someone she shouldn’t.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
