She had a huge breakfast and as soon
as she was done with that she wanted more.
Nadia was working today and she got
to join in on the fun as soon as she arrived.
Sadbh had so much energy and kept
both Nini and Nadia on their toes.
Trach care was early today and Sadbh
slept for a good two hours afterwards.
This weekend is the SeaFair
hydroplane races on Lake Washington and the Blue Angels are putting on their
air show all weekend. Today they started their practice run and they often fly
directly over our hour only a couple of hundred feet up. It get’s very loud and
thankfully they did not disturb Sadbh during her nap.
She was in a great mood when she woke
up, so Nini put the Passy Muir Valve on her trach and they all headed out into
the garden for lunch.
There were a few airplanes practicing
their aerobatics close by and Sadbh was mesmerized by the sounds.
It proved to be a great distraction
as she maintained on the PMV for over 45 minutes.
As soon as she was done with lunch,
it was time to load up the stroller and head off to her favorite park. She was
over the moon and could not wait to get out of the stroller so she could walk.
They tried out the PMV again and just
like the first time, Sadbh did great.
She had another nap on her way home
and she woke up just in time to greet me as I arrived home from work.
She was in a fantastic mood and had a
wonderful evening.
We don’t have a nurse tonight so
Sadbh is back up stairs with us. It’s very hot upstairs so I hope it doesn’t bother
her and that she gets a good night sleep.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
