Around midnight, Sadbh woke up and
was standing in her cot looking for us to take care of her. Katie brought her
into bed with us and despite being a little bit restless; she slept between us
for the rest of the night.
She was in a deep sleep when I left
for work and didn’t even budge when I kissed her good-bye.
By 6:15, she was wide-awake and ready
for breakfast and the day to start.
She had a huge breakfast and
afterwards she and Nini started playing in the basement until Audrey started
her shift.
Audrey has only worked with Sadbh
during the night since she came back and Sadbh was thrilled.
Audrey took care of Sadbh during our
wedding last year and she took fantastic care of our baby.
Ali-Baba stopped by for a visit and
the excitement only got better for Sadbh.
Unfortunately, her visit wasn’t for
long since Sadbh had an appointment with her cranial sacral therapist, Dr. Cavnnaugh.
Her session went well and Audrey was
a great help trying to keep Sadbh distracted so Dr. Cavanaugh could work his
magic.
By the time Sadbh arrived home, it
was time for her bath and trach care. Everything went great and Sadbh slept for
an hour.
She woke up quite cranky, but soon
cheered up as soon as she had her lunch.
The weather today was fantastic, so
Sadbh and her entourage headed off to the park to play on the slides and
swings.
She wore her Passy Muir Valve for
almost two hours and did great.
All of a sudden the Blue Angels flew
overhead with a roar. Sadbh was blown away and could not stop looking up at the
sky while making the sign for airplane.
Later on she took another nap and
after she woke up she immediately make the baby sign for airplane. Maybe she
wants to be a pilot.
I brought Sadbh out for a walk
shortly after arriving home from work and we bumped into our neighbors a few
doors down.
Sadbh was thrilled to get to play
with Maya and tried to keep up with her as she ran around the garden.
Maya is almost a year older than
Sadbh and is quick on her feet.
Sadbh had a great time and it was
very obvious that she really enjoyed playing with Maya.
She had a tough time going to bed
tonight and seemed to be very uncomfortable.
We expect that we will have a long
night ahead since she is sleeping with us, but we hope its nothing more than
gas or a new tooth coming in.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
