Sadbh had a lot of secretions
through the night and needed suctioning occasionally. She finally woke around
7:30 and was ready for the day to start.
Breakfast was served and Sadbh
had yummy blueberry pancakes.
Despite being in a great mood
when she woke up, Sadbh was soon quite cranky and very fussy.
She did not have much of an
appetite and ended up having a serious temper tantrum.
She seemed quite tired so we
thought that trach care might happen early today. It wasn’t the case and Sadbh
kept going until noon.
Trach care went quite easily
and she slept for almost two hours afterwards.
The weather was kind of funny
today so rather than heading out on the lake, we all went for a walk up to
Capitol Hill instead.
Sadbh’s mood was much better
this time around. She did not want to sit in her stroller and was adamant that
she walked without holding anyone’s hand. This was fine until she tripped and
fell flat on her face. Thankfully she didn’t have far to go and that she did
not cause herself any injury apart from a small bump and a big scare.
We stopped off for lunch along
the way and Sadbh was kept entertained by an 8-month girl at the next table.
Sadbh was signing like crazy and both girls had a great time.
After we arrived home, it was
time to drop Pat off at the airport for her trip to Portland. Sadbh was sad to
see her go and gave her a big wave as she got out of the car.
The rest of the evening was
spent relaxing and reading her new books.
Just before bedtime Sadbh got
to take a bath with Katie and she loved it.
Since she had only one nap
today, Sadbh was ready to go to sleep once she was in her pajamas and her teeth
were brushed.
Larissa is working tonight and
I hope Sadbh gets a good night sleep since she has an important appointment
with Dr. Inglis at Children’s Hospital first thing in the morning.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
